Knitting and crochet circle reinforces at the senior center

Hello Manistee County! It has been a crazy week with lots of snow and snowy days. Funny, I was just saying how much I love my little car and never have a problem driving in the snow. Well, Thursday, after the plows went through, I was buried at the bottom of my doors and couldn’t even get in the car. Then the moment I walked in, I couldn’t move that damn thing.
The good thing is that I closed the doors and borrowed my daughter’s car which is much bigger than mine. I got out but had to change my boots, socks and pants before leaving because I was soaked.
That same day I went for a photo with two handsome gentlemen from Parkdale Auto Sales and Service. Tyler and John, who are the owners, donated $ 2,600 from their car sales in December. They are both so wonderful and always think about their community. Thank you, Tyler, John and the entire Parkdale Auto Sales and Service team for this generous donation.
We have good news! The knitting / crochet group had a blast this week and will be here again Tuesday at 2pm. If you or someone you know would like to come and spend some time knitting or crocheting, visit and I would love for you to join.
I would like to encourage you to complete our music survey regarding our Music Cove. We are working with Carrie Selbee and River City Music to launch this program and we would love to hear from you. Please stop by and take a survey or call and we can send or email you. We want to do the things you want to do, so please give us a hand.
I hate to talk about COVID, but a lot of people have tested positive in our area. Please stay as safe as possible and remember to wear your mask when you are near large crowds. We want to go back to normal and see all of your beautiful smiles.
Are you looking for a way to stay in shape during the winter? How about walking with us on Mondays and Fridays. Barb is launching a building-wide walking program and there will be some great ways to stretch and move. The walking program will take place Mondays at 11 a.m. and Fridays at 1 p.m. Come join everyone in this healthy and fun program.
Next week we have Sonny Lovasco on Tuesday for the music. Sonny has been entertaining Manistee County for a long time. Come Tuesday at 11 a.m. for some great music.
Hope you have a great week and don’t forget to try something new!
The gathering meal site at the Wagoner Community Center serves lunch Monday through Friday at noon. Don’t forget to call and reserve your lunch before noon the night before. The catering site in Wellston is currently closed. The Onekama dining site at the Farr Center distributes meals on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:15 am (take out). Keep in mind that the menu is subject to change as some food shortages can affect the cuisine.
