LA Lakers sign deal with Socios.com to sponsor official Facebook fan group

The Los Angeles Lakers have become the latest National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise to partner with Socios.com, the fan engagement platform owned by Chiliz.
The deal between the two will seek to create more opportunities for fans to engage through social interactions, with Socios.com being named as the main sponsor of the Lakers’ official fan group on Facebook.
Socios.com sponsored content will also be featured in the Lakers’ Twitter polls and, in addition to the signage visible on broadcast, the platform will serve as the official sponsor of the Lakers 2K gaming team and the G League team. the South Bay Lakers.
The addition of the Lakers continues Socios.com’s aggressive push into the sports sponsorship space, where it now has partnerships with 24 of the 30 NBA teams. Remaining in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs have entered into a partnership with British gambling brand Bet365, which includes the launch of a new free-to-play game that allows fans to win prizes and exclusive experiences.
