Manchester United: TeamViewer announced as new shirt sponsor with five-year contract

What should I know about the agreement?
Athletic Understands that the deal is similar to Barcelona’s ⬠55million (£ 47million) per season deal with Rakuten, making the TeamViewer deal the biggest jersey-only deal in the Premier League.
The five-year agreement will begin at the start of the 2021-2022 season.
The sponsorship deal is the largest of any kind obtained by a sports team during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
United are also reportedly in talks for a new training kit sponsor, as their eight-year contract with Aon comes to an end.
What was said?
Manchester United Managing Director Richard Arnold said: âWe are extremely proud to partner with one of the world‘s most exciting and dynamic software companies.
âThe ability to connect and collaborate has never been more important to the world and our community of 1.1 billion fans and subscribers.â
TeamViewer Managing Director Oliver Steil called the partnership “two global winning teams joining forces”.
Who is TeamViewer?
TeamViewer, based in Germany, is a global software company that provides a connectivity platform for the use of remote digital devices.
Since the company was founded in 2005, its software has been installed by more than two and a half billion people around the world.
And Chevrolet?
Chevrolet has been printed on the front of Manchester United’s shirts since 2014, with the American automaker paying the club £ 64million per season.
United’s deal with Chevrolet was set to expire in December, after signing a short extension.
