Michigan cares about tourism in Cambridge Junction


Join Michigan Cares for Tourism for a volunteer experience learning about and giving to Michigan’s historical, natural, and cultural attractions. We are honored that this year’s event is taking place in the Irish hills of Cambridge Junction Historic State Park on September 11-12. Our newest member, Phoenix Rising Wellness Centers, is hosting a free acupuncture event for first responders and veterans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month at 3 Firehouse, 4111 Round Lake Highway in Manitou Beach. The Walker Wheels Invitational runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at the historic Walker Tavern. Bring a friend, bring a picnic, and bring a lawn chair for a great day of baseball as it was played in 1860. There is no admission, but a recreation passport is required to enter the park .

Join MST Dance Center for “Mommy and Me” classes with your little one and help them learn to dance. Classes take place from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays with two sessions to choose from: from September 10 to October 15 or from October 22 to December 10. The cost is $60 per session or $110 for both sessions. Moms, dads and guardians with children 4 years old or younger are welcome to register.
