ONE Championship releases full fight schedule for 2022

After hosting two major combat sports events to kick off the new year, ONE Championship has decided to release its entire 2022 fight schedule via press release.

“We are thrilled to announce our 2022 live event schedule for ONE Championship. We have 24 blockbuster events scheduled so far, with more to come. We will continue to showcase the absolute best talent from around the world championships. , martial arts skills and entertainment value,” the company’s Chairman and CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, said in a press release.

The Singapore-based combat sports promotion had a strong opener in 2022 with ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14, where women’s strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan successfully defended her title against Ayaka Miura, while Saygid Izagakhmaev made its long-awaited promotional debut.

Fans were treated to another solid card once again with ONE: Only The Brave on Friday, January 28.

The ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix had determined its final two fighters after Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Chingiz Allazov won their semi-final clashes, while lightweight Zhang Lipeng of China and strawweight Jarred Brooks picked up victories massive in their respective fights.

Of the dates released by ONE Championship, March 26 might be their most anticipated card as it’s the date for ONE X – the outfit’s 10th anniversary show which was supposed to take place in December 2021.

The event will be headlined by the tilt of the ONE Women’s World Atomic Weight Title between defending champion Angela Lee and Grand Prix winner Stamp Fairtex.

Meanwhile, flyweight champion Adriano Moraes defends his title against No. 2-ranked Yuya Wakamatsu in the co-main event.

The MMA-Muay Thai hybrid fight between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Demetrious Johnson will also take place on the same card.

But in the meantime, fans of the promotion can look forward to ONE: Bad Blood next Friday, February 11, where fierce rivals John Lineker and Bibiano Fernandes can finally settle their differences inside the cage for the weight crown. rooster.

With two events taking place roughly the second and last week of the month, combat sports enthusiasts are sure to be treated to the best of the organization.
