Pennsylvania Breweries Join Forces For PA Pride Pale Ale, Coming With Online Happy Hour
Several Pennsylvania breweries have teamed up to create a new beer that celebrates the state.
Deer Creek Malthouse in Glen Mills regularly hosts a Malt-A-Palooza Harvest Festival, but this year’s annual event cannot go as usual due to COVID-19. Instead, the Deer Creek team partnered with Breweries In Pa and several breweries around the state to host an online happy hour, accompanied by a new version of beer: PA Pride Pale Ale.
The new PA Pride is a hazy lager made entirely from Pennsylvania-grown, malted grain, and designed as a session beer with “notes of toasted crisps, cupcakes, tangerine hard candy, verbena tea. and orange popsicles, ”according to the press release.
The debut of PA Pride Pale Ale will coincide with the virtual happy hour, hosted by participating breweries including Deer Creek Malthouse, Broken Goblet Brewing, Clarion River Brewing, Newtown Brewing, Noble Stein, Shy Bear, Stone Bridge and Beaver Brewing, between others. The event will be held on November 5 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include a beer tasting and panel discussion on how to create a more inclusive and sustainable food system.
PA Pride will be available in 16 ounce cans at all participating breweries. For more details, visit the Deer Creek Malthouse Website.
