• State Representative Mark Longietti, D-Mercer, hosts a free workshop to help eligible residents apply for the state property tax/rent rebate program.

The nesting session will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on May 18 at the Pymatuning Township Building, 256 Edgewood Drive Ext., Transfer. The PTRRP benefits state residents age 65 or older, widows and widowers age 50 or older, and persons with disabilities age 18 or older. The annual income limit is $35,000 for owners and $15,000 for renters, and half of Social Security is excluded.

Walk-ins are welcome.

Residents requesting assistance must provide photo ID, proof of 2021 income, and a statement of rent paid in 2021 (for tenants) or a receipt for taxes paid in 2021 (for landlords) . Information: 724-981-4655 or 724-588-1005.
