The Waunakee Tribune provides this space for free on a weekly basis to nonprofits in the Waunakee area. Articles for upcoming events should be submitted in writing or emailed to [email protected] by 10 a.m. Tuesday for the following Thursday edition.
The Waunakee Lions Club will sponsor Fair Food wagons at Village Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 18 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 19. Some of the menu choices include burgers, hot dogs, cheese steaks, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and snow cones. . Enter the park by the driveway in the center of the village. Profits will be used for club service programs. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
June 19: Eight circular movements of Ba Gua
The Waunakee Public Library will host an outdoor martial arts program on the Patio on Saturday, June 19 at 11 a.m. Bob Yu will show the form of the Ba Gua martial art movement representing the 8 trigram symbols from Chinese mythology which are rooted in Taoist philosophy and Feng Shui; the balance of life.
June 20: Summer on the farm
Schumacher Farm Park will be offering a Summertime at the Farm program from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 20.
A free COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be offered at the Waunakee Public Library from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 22. No ID or insurance is required. Vaccines are available for everyone from 12 years old. 12-17 year olds will need a parent or guardian present. Anyone in need of the vaccine is invited to come anytime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
June 22: Flamenco dance, music and history
The Waunakee Public Library will host a lecture / demonstration on topics in dance, music and flamenco history on Tuesday, June 22 at 6.30 p.m. Also attend lively dance demonstrations given by Tania Tandias and some members of the company.
The Waunakee Farmers’ Market will be held at the Waun-A-Bowl and Rocky Rococo parking lot at 301 S. Century Avenue from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 23.
