West Yas community to host first Khabib Gym

Palms Sports, a provider of athletic training programs and a health and wellness promoter in the region, has announced that the community of West Yas on Yas Island, a leading leisure and entertainment destination, was going to host the first ‘Khabib Gym by Palms Sports’.

Spread over 1,500 m² leased area in Miral, Abu Dhabi’s main curator of magnetic experiences, the gymnasium is currently under construction. It will take inspiration from the training and fitness philosophy of Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the greatest fighters in the UFC, and will provide members with a fitness experience with world-class equipment.

The gym will feature a host of fitness options including an MMA cage that will allow aspiring athletes and fighters to train to the highest standards and strengthen their competitive edge. Staffed with accredited instructors and trainers, the facility will take care of different martial arts disciplines, including a large tangled area for wrestling sports such as Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, and a separate studio for wrestling. punching sports like Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing.

The facility will include a full-fledged gym with cardio, fitness and cycling areas as well as a functional training area, paddle tennis courts and a swimming pool.

Palms Sports CEO Fouad Darwish said: “We are taking our commitment and promotion of mixed martial arts to a new level through this alliance with Nurmagomedov. Our gym will enrich the sports infrastructure in Abu Dhabi and Yas Island and further consolidate them as a destination and sponsor for local and international sports talent.

Established in 2011, Palms Sports is a United Arab Emirates-based company that promotes niche sports activities with a particular focus on Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts among UAE nationals. He enjoys a competitive advantage in Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts and combat sports, and strives to raise awareness and participate by highlighting the physical, mental and health benefits of these activities.

Set on a scenic waterfront, the indoor gym facilities are complemented by a spacious outdoor area that hosts several activities, including a relaxation pool with shaded cabanas and amenities including showers and changing rooms, as well as a a paddle tennis court and an F&B area serving healthy choices.

For water sports enthusiasts, the gym will also offer a multitude of water activities. With its location on the water’s edge, the gym will offer direct access to the marina.

Overlooking the natural mangroves around Yas Island, the waterfront villa community of West Yas is home to shopping malls, a community center and a mosque, with easy access to the island’s theme parks, to leisure and entertainment experiences, including hospitality and restaurants.TradeArabia News Service
